Theda
Monmouth Academy of Ballet’s Spotlight is shining on our ballet dancer, Theda. She is 8 years old and is a 3rd grader who is homeschooled. She has trained in ballet for 4 years.

How many hours of ballet class do you take each week?
I take 2 hours of classes a week.
How old were you when you started taking ballet classes?
I was 4 years old when I started taking ballet classes.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
When I grow up I want to be a waitress.
What do you like to do when you are not dancing?
When I am not dancing I draw Pokémon, play piano, and baking with Dada, especially brownies.
Why did you choose MAB as your dance school?
My older cousin who danced her whole life recommended Miss Ellen.
Have you participated in MAB’s Spring Performance and/or Royal Academy of Dance examinations? What would you like to tell us about those experiences?
I have participated in both the spring performance and RAD’s examinations. The exam helps me to be a better dancer and it is fun to be on stage.
What is your favorite ballet?
My favorite ballet is An American in Paris.
Who is your favorite pop artist, composer, ballerina or danseur, and why?
Gene Kelly is my favorite ballet dancer because he is funny, handsome and a great actor.
