Wizard of Oz – Spring 2025

Monmouth Ballet Foundation We are thrilled to announce that Monmouth Academy of Ballet’s Spring 2025 performance will be “The Wizard of Oz!”

Please consider making a donation to help support our philanthropic efforts to continue to make ballet available to everyone!

Based on the classic tale of Dorothy’s adventures in Oz, our performance will include vignettes based the story. The performance will feature original choreography by Miss Ellen & Miss Lauriane, who aim to create performance pieces matched to each student’s capabilities.

“The Wizard of Oz” will be performed on Saturday, May 31st, 2025.

Rehearsals will begin Sunday, January 12, 2025, and will continue right through until the performance date. Details to follow.

Auditions

Please arrive early to allow for audition number assignment. Auditions will be held at MAB’s studio on Sunday, November 3rd, 2025. Dancers please make sure you note your class audition time below:

Primary, Pique & Plié – “L3”, “Little Littles” & “Littles” – ARRIVE: 8:40AM – AUDITION: 9:00AM – 10:30AM

Chassé, Passé, Changement & Adults – “Mediums”, “Bigs” & Adults – ARRIVE: 10:10AM – AUDITION: 10:30AM – 12:30PM

All participants are required to audition for placement purposes on November 3rd. This will be the only day dancers will be able to audition, so be sure to mark your calendar if you wish to participate.

Required audition attire:

For young ladies: black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers and pointe shoes where appropriate. Hair must be in a bun.
For young men: black or navy leggings, white tee-shirt, white ankle socks and black or white ballet slippers.

Audition Application & Fees

Your audition application and $55 audition fee must be submitted to MAB no later than Thursday, October 24th, 2025. Late payments are subject to a late fee of $63.40. Payments can be made by cash or check to Monmouth Ballet Foundation.

There is an additional performance fee of $250 is due, date to be announced, before Rehearsals begin on Sunday January 12th. This can be paid by cash or check to Monmouth Ballet Foundation.
