Elyanna

Monmouth Academy of Ballet’s Spotlight is shining on our ballet dancer, Elyanna Alberto. She is 12 years old and in 7th grade at Middle School South, and she has trained in ballet for 7 years.

How many hours of ballet class do you take each week?

I take classes 6 hours a week.

How old were you when you started taking ballet classes?

I was two and a half years old!

What motivated your early interest in dancing/ballet?

The gracefulness of ballet.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

A professional ballerina.

What are your hobbies?

Dance, basketball, and art.

Why did you choose MAB as your dance school?

Miss Ellen made me feel welcomed!

Have you participated in MAB’s Spring Performance and/or Royal Academy of Dance examinations? What would you like to tell us about those experiences?

RAD is very fun it taught me a lot of new things.

What is your favorite ballet?

Classical ballet is my favorite!

Who is your favorite pop artist, composer, ballerina or danseur, and why?

My favorite artist is Lewis Capaldi, I like that his songs have a meaning. Misty Copeland is my favorite ballerina!
