Student Spotlight: May 2018

Emma Gonzales

Monmouth Academy of Ballet’s Spotlight is shining on our ballerina, Emma. She is a 4th grader at River Plaza Elementary School in Middletown, NJ.

A mover and a shaker at an early age, she took classes in tap and ballet along with having a great time doing Irish step dancing. She then began dancing with MAB when we opened four years ago progressing from attending classes three days a week to five.

Emma has participated in Royal Academy of Dance examinations for the past four years knowing they are a positive opportunity to learn and grow as a dancer. She has also enhanced every one of our year-end perfomances and this year is dancing the role of Grumpy in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Emma has set her sights on attending the Juilliard School at Lincoln Center in New York. Until then she loves the instruction given by Miss Ellen and the warm and supportive feel at MAB.  She is a role model for younger students and helps around the studio in any way she can!
