Monmouth Academy of Ballet Debuts First Ever Nutcracker

A New Winter Tradition Begins

On December 20, 2025, the Monmouth Academy of Ballet proudly presented its inaugural production of The Nutcracker at the beautiful Ranney School in Tinton Falls. It was an exciting milestone performance that will now be woven into the fabric of our winter season for years to come.

After months of dedicated rehearsals, our students brought Tchaikovsky’s timeless holiday classic to life with heart, precision, and joy. From the shimmering Snowflakes to the elegant Waltz of the Flowers, each scene radiated passion and purpose, showcasing the talent and discipline that define Monmouth Academy of Ballet.

A Stage Filled with Magic

The Ranney School’s stage served as the perfect setting for this magical evening. Families and friends filled the audience with warm

th and holiday spirit. The support shown to our students was  heartwarming as they embodied classic winter roles.

But beyond the soaring music and expressive performance, what truly made this production unforgettable, was the sense of community. Parents volunteered behind the scenes, alumni came to support their classmates, and our dancers’ families gathered to celebrate ballet in its purest form.

Building an Annual Winter Tradition

At Monmouth Academy of Ballet, we believe that The Nutcracker is more than a performance, it’s an opportunity for our students to grow as artists and individuals. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that this production will become a permanent part of our winter program.

Here’s what families and audiences can look forward to in future seasons:

• Annual Nutcracker Performances: Every winter, our dancers will have the opportunity to shine in a full-scale production from ensemble roles to principal characters.

• A Role For All: In keeping with offering performance opportunities for all, we open the audition room to our youngest dancer all the way to our Adult dancers!

• Behind-the-Scenes Experiences: Students will deepen their understanding of not just performance, but also stagecraft, teamwork, and creative expression.

Looking Ahead with Excitement

The success of our first Nutcracker has set an inspiring precedent. We’re deeply grateful to our dedicated faculty, supportive families, and every student who poured their talent and heart into the performance. We’re excited to continue this treasured new tradition and will continue to uplift our community each winter.
