Classical ballet isn’t solely about dance, it’s more than that. It’s about embodying poise, elegance and grace.
Here, dancers aren’t just taught the traditions and rigors of classical ballet routines, they’re taught all the other necessary fundamentals of becoming a classical ballerina or danseur. Things like commitment, discipline, and respect are woven into the daily fabric of the school.
Additionally, dancers are taught the importance of etiquette and how to carry themselves. MAB, and Miss Ellen in particular, teaches the proper way to sit, the proper way to stand, the importance of eye contact, and all the other essential tools that enable students to demonstrate grace, elegance and flow beyond the studio floor.
Artistic Director, Ellen Gunn, is a classically trained ballerina and Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance with many years of experience teaching the timeless art of ballet.
