Erica Wriedt
Erica Wriedt has been dancing since the age of 3 studying various styles of dance including jazz, tap, contemporary, ballet, and modern. Erica attended The School of Creative and Performing Arts where she studied at the contemporary dance conservatory for three weeks in the summers of 2015 and 2016. There she was able to perform for several dance videos choreographed by Aushi Oskardottir, a graduate of UC Berkeley dance school, and Assistant Director of Fusion Dance Company. She has had the opportunity to take classes with other well-known dance artists and enjoys taking dance classes at Broadway Dance Center in New York City.
Erica joined Monmouth Academy of Ballet two years ago taking private lessons with Miss Ellen. This year she has been dancing ballet and pointe with Miss Ellen every day and has been taking Mr. Stelios’ class, Martha Graham Technique for Teens-Level I/II, to explore different ballet movements and techniques. She feels so fortunate to be able to train with such professional and knowledgeable teachers at Monmouth Academy of Ballet. She will be playing the role of Fairy God Mother in Monmouth Academy of Ballet’s performance of the renowned ballet Cinderella on June 17, 2017 in Panther Hall at the Ranney School, in Tinton Falls, NJ.
Erica will continue dance at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, and she will receive a BFA in four years. Erica is very excited to continue what she loves to do in college!
